November 2015 Hike

Sunny & mild for a November hike!

Scouts in attendance: Jona, Nick, John, Mr. G, Mike, Peter,Trent, Tom (cameraman Howie)

"Bushwhacking" (off trail hiking) often presents with the unexpected==this hike we came upon a rotting early 1900's wagon with dozens of old bottles ...and a large deer carcass.

Troop alumnus, Eagle Scout Trent, rushed home from Syracuse Forestry College & arrived hours before we left for this hike. His smile indicates the "rest of the story"..

Troop 4 Patrol Leaders Mike & John enjoy a balmy lunch break...

A Troop 4 tradition is football in the woods amongst trees & backpacks...

Tom brings down a catch in star form...

Scouts take a short break on the trail on a half downed tree...

With a rain the week before our hike, this mountain top resevoir was over the spillway...

Scouts were competing as they ran up the lower face of the dam as far as they could before gravity took over....
